There are two ways to remove DRM protection. If your computer has a DVD burner, you can burn the Rhapsody songs to CD/DVD, and then use iTunes to rip the songs from CD/DVD to your iTunes library, the DRM protection will be removed during the process. This method will cost a little bit more time, but it’s free and convenient.

But if you have large amount of songs collection, the method above is not suitable for you. I’d suggest you to remove DRM with third party software. I have tried some DRM removal program, and recommend this DRM Media Converter. It’s really easy to use. More importantly, it can remove the DRM and keep the songs original quality. I wrote a simple tutorial about how to use the DRM Media Converter, hope it helps.

Step1. Download the DRM Media Converter, double click it to install it, the default settings work well with all Windows system, you don’t need to make any configuration.

Step2. Launch the program; find the Rhapsody downloaded songs on your computer. And then drag and drop them into the DRM converter.

Step3. Click “Settings” dropdown list and go to “Format -> Apple” to choose an output format according to your devices, such as iPod touch, iPod Nano or iPad 2. And then click “Start” to run the DRM Removal Process. When the conversion is finished, click “Find Target” to locate your DRM free songs.

Here is some simple introduction about DRM. “DRM” knows as Digital Right Management, which was introduced some time ago. And it is very famous; due to the reason some big brands are using it to protect the rights, preventing the illegal copying. Nevertheless, all these years of inventing, the most remarkable achievement for “DRM” was really limited the usage of the media files to the customers. Take iTunes as an example, as the biggest online music retailer, or even the biggest music retailer in the world, is still selling 90% of the media files as DRM protected. Therefore, we can only play the music in the specific music players, like iPod, iPhone, iPad, the very luxury music player from Apple itself. However, what if you accidently bought some other mp3 player, such as: Zune, PSP, Mobile Phone, and Creative Zen. Etc. Sorry, you can’t play it!

Now let’s begin the creative project.

Step 1. Download Slideshow+ Free from App store

Step 2. Launch the app, create a new project and add photos from Facebook

Launch the app on your iPhone. Click the “New” button to create a new project. Then you can begin your slideshow. Click the “Photo” button on the lower left corner of the interface to go to “Albums”, where you can choose to add photos from Facebook Album, Flick Album, Picasa Web Album, iPhone Camera Roll or photo folders in your iPhone. Here you just choose Facebook Album, log in to your facebook account then add the photos.

Step 3. Add background music to slideshow

Click the “Music” button at the bottom of the interface. Choose your favorite songs from the music album in your iPhone.

Step 4. Choose background theme and set the transition time

Go to the “Theme” tab then you can find some colorful and beautiful themes there. You can also click any of the photos to edit it. Meanwhile you can click the “Settings” tab at the top right of the interface to adjust the transition time for slideshow presentations.

Step 5. Export the slideshow to HDTV

Click the “Export” button on lower right corner to start to stream the slideshow to HDTV.

Step 1. Organize Photos

Download and install Photo DVD Burner Professional. Launch it. Click the Organize Photos tab in Photo DVD Burner to create one or more albums, select wedding photos from a folder in your computer hard drive and add them to the album.

In the sub-tab of Album Photo, you can add or remove photos, rotate photos, set album thumbnail, arrange the order of the photos, etc. Note: Double-click one single photo in the album and you will be able to personalize the photos (transition, Pan & Zoom, Text, ArtClips, Subtitle, Brightness / Contrast, etc) one by one in the Photo Configuration window.

Switch to the Transition & Music tab, and you can set background music, apply transition effect, specify transition duration, photo duration, randomize photo transitions, etc.

In the Album Theme tab, there are lots of album themes available for you to choose from. You may also add separate images to the beginning and end of the album, and edit album beginning title and ending title, such as text, effect, duration, background color, etc.

Also you are allowed to preview the whole album before the conversion by clicking the Album Preview button.

Step 2. Choose Menus

Click the Choose Menus tab in the interface of Photo DVD Burner Professional to choose a menu template for the wedding slideshow. You can also specify the background music and background image, set font style, size, color, etc to customize the menu template.

Step 3. Burn Disc

Click the Burn Disc tab at the top menu to go to the conversion window. Then click the Output Format drop-down menu and choose the output format for the wedding slideshow. You can choose to burn wedding photo slideshows to DVD/Blu-ray discs or create wedding photo slideshows movie. The following formats are available for you to choose from.

Step 1. Launch DVD Ripper for Mac and Add DVD Movie

Drag & drop DVD disc icon on the desktop to the program. Or go to “File” menu, choose “Load DVD” to locate the DVD movies (including DVD Video, DVD IFO file, DVD folder, dvdmedia file) you want to add.

The default settings only read main feature of the DVD movie for conversion instead of the DVD menu and the movie just starts playing right away. If you want to import the whole DVD, go to “Preference” and uncheck “Load main title of the DVD”.

Subtitle: Regular DVD movies usually have several subtitles such as English, French, German, etc. You can select the one you prefer so that you can rip DVD with subtitle on Mac Lion. You can also delete the subtitle by selecting ‘No Subtitle’
Audio Track: Select an audio track from the available audio tracks of your DVD movie.

Step 2. Output Settings

Select an output format: For example, you can select ‘iPad’ when you want to rip DVD to iPad on Mac OS X, and the default setting works great.

Set video and audio parameters: If you want to resize output video files or tailor settings for specific use, you can click the “Settings” button to open the Settings window and set video resolution, frame rate, bit rate, encoder, etc.

Step 3. Start to Rip DVD on Mac

After the output settings, you can just hit the Convert button to start ripping DVD on Mac OS X. You can choose to shut down your computer or open the output folder after the conversion.

Note: There are a few tips and tricks you won’t miss out on while using this DVD Ripper for Mac to rip DVD on your Mac machine.

Tip 1. Split DVD chapters and capture DVD clips

If you want to capture a clip from the current title/chapter, move the pointer over the thumbnail of the DVD you want to split and choose “split” from the pop-up menu. In the Split window, you can choose split DVD into chapters automatically. Or you can drag the slider to the exact point you want to cut the video, and click “scissors” icon. When the settings are done, close the window and click “Yes” in pop-up dialogue to save the settings.

Tip 2. Crop DVD Video

In the Crop window, select an output aspect ratio and the available options are: Keep Original, Full Screen, 16:9 and 4:3. You can enter the crop values manually or drag the rectangular selection box to select the displaying area.

Tip 3. Video Effect

In the Video Adjustment window, drag the slider to set the brightness, contrast, saturation and volume. You can also choose a special effect from the Effect drop-down list to apply to your DVD movie.

And in the Parameters Setting area, you can specify output directory, profile (iPad H.264 HD Video, iPad H.264 Video or iPad MPEG-4 Video), and video/audio parameters such as video bitrate, size, codec, frame rate and audio codec, bitrate, sample rate, channel.

Step 3. Create iPad H.264/MPEG-4 Slide Show Movie (*.mp4)

After you set the above parameters, you click the Create Now! button and start creating photo slideshow for iPad.
